Thank You

Image of Mike CapuanoDear Friends,

I would like to congratulate the next U.S. Senator of Massachusetts, Martha Coakley. She ran a good campaign. I am going to be there to help make her our next Senator, and when she gets elected, we are going to work hard to make sure she is successful.

I would also like to thank all of you. Stop and think about what we built in this short amount of time. In two and a half months, we went from 0 to 100 miles per hour across this state building a strong grassroots organization. What we did is pretty darn amazing.

Never in my life have I been so proud to stand with so many good friends and to make so many new ones. You all have worked harder for me than anyone has ever done and that means so much to me.

Some of you have been supporters of mine for 30 years. Some of you are new supporters. But, going forward, we will always be together. If there is one thing we have done consistently it is to keep at it and keep building.

This has been an amazing time for me. Our campaign was about working from the bottom up. So many of you have done this in your own lives. And I thank you for helping us to do so in this campaign.

You have all become a part of this family, and I will never forget what you all have done for me.

I'm proud to continue work in Congress on the issues important to the people of Massachusetts - providing quality, affordable health care for all; ending the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and bringing our troops home; and protecting the civil liberties and rights of all Americans.

Thank you again for all of your support.

Sincerely,

Mike Capuano
