Over the course of this campaign, I have enjoyed traveling the state listening to your concerns and opinions about the issues we are facing as a state and a nation. I welcome you to join our campaign, engage in discussions about the issues, and learn more about my candidacy. We will keep you informed on the latest news, events and ways to get involved. For my new friends, I’d like to share why I believe I am the best choice to serve as your next U.S. Senator.

I already have the experience needed and a record of standing up for progressive beliefs in Congress — I’ve represented the 8th district of Massachusetts for 11 years.

As a member of Congress, I voted against the Iraq War. I continue working to bring our troops home and to support them when they return. I voted against the PATRIOT Act to protect our cherished civil liberties and will continue to fight for your rights as citizens.

I have always supported marriage equality and equal rights for all. I am a strong supporter of a woman’s right to choose. I have consistently opposed the death penalty. I support a robust public health care option to ensure that everyone has access to affordable health care.

I have a record of success in the House, and my experience will help me be effective in the Senate.

That’s why I’m asking you to send me to Washington as your next U.S. Senator.

Campaigns are won on the basis commitment and ideas, but they also take hard work. I need your help. It’s going to be a challenge to get the word out in such a short timeframe, but with your support, I know we can do it.
